"What an amazing show this was! I am so grateful for the opportunity I was given to design this show. Working with Alexandra Harbold was an amazing opportunity, and I cannot wait for another collaboration with her in the future.
This show was a great opportunity to play with super-saturated colors and use that to contrast the sadness that washes over the characters. Act IV is juxtaposed with the previous three acts as the color is all gone, and harsh lines cut across the stage. The feeling this created was amazing and really highlights the sadness associated with nostalgia.
One very unique aspect of this show was that we were doing live cinema with multiple cameras and a projector displaying the video. Balancing lighting for the stage and actors in a way that looks good on camera and for the audience posed a creative challenge.
This was a beautiful production, and I am proud that this was my first design at the University of Utah."
